Travel Insurance & Protection
Travel smart, travel safe. Protection for your trip in one place.
Find travel protection from Klook and Compensair in one place. Travel insurance can cover medical emergencies, trip cancellation and lost luggage, and Compensair helps you claim up to €600 when your flight is delayed or cancelled.
Buy cover as soon as you book, so you are protected if your plans change before you leave.
From a weekend city break to a long family holiday, check what each plan covers, the excess and the claim process, and see the full price before you pay. Destination.chat is free to use, with no sign‑up.
How to choose travel insurance
Policies with a similar price can cover very different things. Check the limits for medical costs, cancellation, baggage and delays, and whether your activities are included. Destination.chat sends you straight to the provider at its normal price.
Look at the excess, the amount you pay yourself on each claim, and at the exclusions in the policy wording. If you travel several times a year, an annual multi-trip plan can cost less than separate single-trip policies.
Insurance and flight compensation are different things. Travel insurance pays for your own costs, while EU rules can give you a fixed amount from the airline for long delays and cancellations. Compensair can handle that claim for you.
Travel Insurance FAQ
When should I buy travel insurance?
As soon as you book. Cancellation cover usually starts when you buy the policy, so buying early protects you if you have to cancel before you travel.
Is my European Health Insurance Card enough?
Not on its own. The EHIC gives access to state healthcare in EU countries, but it does not cover private treatment, repatriation, cancellation or lost luggage.
What is the difference between insurance and flight compensation?
They pay for different things. Insurance covers your own costs, such as medical bills or a cancelled trip. Flight compensation is a fixed amount of up to €600 per passenger that the airline may owe under EU Regulation 261/2004.
What does Compensair do?
It claims flight compensation for you. Compensair checks whether your delayed, cancelled or overbooked flight qualifies and handles the claim with the airline. Check its fee and terms before you start.
Do I buy on Destination.chat or with the provider?
With the provider. You choose a provider here and buy on its own website. Payment, policies, claims and refunds are handled by that company.
Does it cost more to buy through Destination.chat?
No. You pay the provider's normal price. Some links are affiliate links, so we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
